In the last two weeks several exciting new features and improvements for CMS Commander have been released, making remotely managing all your websites easier and faster than ever now. Here is a quick overview of all the changes:
- Dropbox integration has been improved for the Backups Page – it has become more reliable and does not require you to enter your account password anymore. Instead you simply have to connect your Dropbox account to CMS Commander on the Options page (General settings tab) and can then start to save your automatic backups directly to your Dropbox account.
- The Dashboard Page has for a large part been rebuilt completely: Loading fresh data from your site is done much faster and the first results are displayed instantly, so you can already start working while loading of the rest of your sites is still in progress. There is now also finally an “Approve All Comments” button you can use to quickly approve recent comments on your whole site network.
- On the Plugins Page it is now possible to bulk install or update any number of premium plugins at the same time. To do so go to the “Install Plugin” tab and select “From URL”, where you can enter one download URL per line. You can now also save those install URLs to your list of favorite plugins in order to access them easier in the future. If you are attempting to update premium plugins on all your websites make sure that “Overwrite Existing” is checked below the form.
You can now also watch two additional tutorial videos, bringing the total number to 18. All beginners in particular should have a look at the new tutorial that teaches how to install the CMS Commander plugin and then add your very first website to your account. You can find all videos on the Youtube channel or on the Videos page. Furthermore CMS Commander now has its own Facebook page – be sure to “Like” us there!
