In this video I will demonstrate how you can fetch automatic content from many different sources in CMS Commander and then combine that content to create interesting articles for your site.

All content sources first need to be activated on the “Choose Sources” page before you can use them, see my other video for instructions on that.

Most sources in CMS Commander use an API, which in simple terms is a software companies use to share and make available their content. Amazon, Flickr, Twitter, Youtube and many others all have an API which you can use in CMS Commander to access their content and post it to your websites completely legally.

All that said, lets go to the “Bulk Content” page and start.

Here I choose “Create API Content” as action in the what to do field for this video.
In the form that opens you need to select the number of content items you want to fetch …. the keyword to search for …. and the source that should be used.

I will go with Yahoo Answers here. Once selected your settings from the Options page show up in case you want to modify them for this particular search.

Some content sources like in this case here can include Comments – if you check the “Get Comments” setting those will be imported as comments to your final WordPress posts.

When done press “Go”… and the results will be displayed in the Preview” section.
At the bottom you can see the comments that will get posted.

You can repeat the same process to combine each article with other content.
I will go ahead and search for matching Flickr images now.

As you see a new field has appeared here asking you where to place the new items – either as new content or at the end or beginning of the current content, meaning our Yahoo Answers questions.

I will choose “Thumbnail” as template here to look for a small thumbnail image for each question.

You can repeat that as often as you want. Lets now add Youtube videos… this time to the end of our articles.

If you dont like the result of a search you can remove it with the “Undo” links here and then repeat it with other settings or another content source.

Once you are satisfied with the results you can post them to your websites on the third tab.

If you want to post to a specific site the small “Load Site Data” button here next to each of your sites can come in handy.
It loads the list of categories and user accounts from your site
making it easier to select those settings here in CMS Commander.
Once you did that finish by pressing the “Post to selected Sites” button.
