I am happy to announce that version 1.02 of the CMS Commander plugin for WordPress was just released (update on your “Dashboard” page!) and includes a whole bunch of amazing new features. From now on you can monitor whether all your sites are online through CMS Commander and paid accounts have access to image storage space. But let’s better look at what is new in some more detail:

• CMS Commander has integrated with the popular monitoring service Uptimerobot.com in order to bring you uptime statistics right in your CMS Commander account. Uptime Robot is completely free, so simply sign up for your own account now and then head to the “Your Sites” page in CMS Commander. There you can enter your Uptime Robot API key and choose which sites you want to monitor. After that you will find uptime statistics on the dashboard page of CMS Commander and will be warned by a red icon in the list of your sites if one of your weblogs is down. By default Uptime Robot allows you to track up to 50 websites but if you need more simply ask the Uptimerobot team to increase your limit and tell that you are using CMS Commander.
• Also on the “Your Sites” page you can now apply custom branding to the CMS Commander plugin on all your websites. This allows you to change the name, description, author and URL of the CMS Commander plugin to whatever you want, which can be useful if you want to hide the fact that you use CMS Commander from your clients for example. It is never wise to share how your magic tricks work. ;)
• Last but definitely not least the default WordPress Media Uploader has been integrated for all paid subscribers. That means you can upload any images of your choice to your CMS Commander account and then use them between all your websites on demand, just like in a normal WordPress weblog. And of course all the images you upload can only be seen by you yourself.
