CMS Commander WordPress Plugin Updated to Version 1.00, New Features Added

In preparation for the launch of CMS Commander that is only slightly less than a month away the CMS Commander plugin for WordPress has been updated to version 1.00 now. Besides including several bug fixes and improving the performance and speed of site backups the update does also introduce several new features:

  • The “Post Editor” page now supports tags and custom fields for WordPress posts. You can add any number of tags or custom fields to the articles you write in CMS Commander with the new settings in the “WordPress” tab.
  • The “Plugins” page now allows you to upload a plugin file from your own computer to install the plugin to any number of your weblogs, in addition to the three other choices that already existed (from URL, WordPress directory and favorites). To start select “From Your Computer” on the “Install Plugin (WordPress)” tab and then select the .zip file of the plugin you want to install on your computer.
  • On the “Clone Site” page has been simplified and now allows you to change some important settings (including site title, admin email and more) on the target site you are installing the clone on in order to speed up the whole process.
  • How to use the “Content” page in order to copy an article from one of your sites to any number of other sites has been simplified and made clearer.

You can automatically upgrade all your weblogs to version 1.00 of the CMS Commander plugin on your “Dashboard” page. Simply press the “Refresh Sites” button first and then once loading has finished the “Update on All Sites” link.
