The Story of an Embarrassing Bug: Important Updates to the CMS Commander Post Editor

It can sometimes be very embarrassing for a programmer to be confronted with a big bug in his software. In this light I had to discover recently, after several helpful reports by users, that I as administrator was the only user of my software able to see the WYSIWYG editor on the “Post Editor” page of CMS Commander – everyone else just saw the ugly default text box. Making this even worse it also caused the cool and useful Insert Content, Build Page and Rewrite Content features of the CMS Commander editor to not work at all for everyone but me! Now however I can announce with relief that this nightmare is taken care of and you can finally use the “Post Editor” like I intended, including a proper text editor, the ability to automatically insert content with the Insert Content button, spinning what you write with the Rewriting button and more. Log into CMS Commander or sign up and have a look at it!

Besides that there were many more small but nice improvements:

  • After the last update added support for Jon Leger’s Article Builder software this one allows you to use Prosperent.com, a new and fast growing affiliate network, in CMS Commander. Both can be activated on the “Choose Sources” page.
  • The Spin Rewriter API, which was also added last update, was improved to handle and spin HTML content much better now, so give it a try!
  • Posting content on the “Bulk Content” page to Blogger.com weblogs via email works correctly now.
  • The support forum display was corrected, the “Choose Sources” page now lists sign up links for all supported services, group site filtering was improved and more I forgot about.
